Sensul versurilor
The poem reflects on the speaker's limited knowledge of their ancestors from the Borges lineage, vaguely recalling their Lusitanian origins. They feel disconnected from them, as if they have faded into time and oblivion. Despite this, the speaker acknowledges their heritage and finds a sense of fulfillment in their destiny, embracing their connection to the past.
